Ray suggested 3M Super Weatherstrip spray on adhesive for gluing the a new pad onto the metal frame for my 64 Lark. My parts store had two close items but I don't know if either is the right glue.
1) 3M Super Trim Adhesive, No. 08090. Used for gluing headliners. Says "do not" use on foam.
2) 3M Spray Trim Adhesive (clear), No. 08074. Used for gluing upholstery, carpets, and trim.
The back of the dash pad is a foam material so I don't think I should use #1.
Is #2 the correct glue for this application or is there another 3M adhesive that is more appropriate?
Also, Ray suggested epoxy primer for painting the frame. Ace didn't have any. Where might I find this paint?
Thanks for the help.
