Well we took Blue out to get some gas and see how he does baby steps. I shot this video. I missed the take off the burning of rubber chirping of tires. Well next time out I will be prepared. I will do a better job go around the car too so you can see it. We are busy fixing some minor items plus installing speakers today. Has to go back to the upho;sterer for some tweaking here and there.

Make sure the steering worm gear is on high center and match the steering whee to it. Then you may have to adjust the steering linkage to center the wheel. I noticed whie you were driving that the steering wheel was off center. If off the high lobe it will wander on the highway.

Hi Anne, I notice a photo on your profile that looks like a 58 Transrar pick-up in black and copper. It looks very much like a truck I procured off Bill Oliver a few years ago and imported to Australia.I sold it to a guy in Brisbane. Is it the same truck as I haven't seen a color combination the same.By the way that truck would really motor for a 259.I had it to 90+ MPH and it had plenty more. What color blue is the Golden Hawk?....Ian

The pickup is actually red and Black but he was over at the coast for most of his life so rust and salt air got to him. We put a 289 in him he gets up and goes.


This is the paint color. Hope this helps.
