  • Pix needed of C/K right fender grille area

    Hi folks,

I'm repairing a right C/K fender that has been damaged in the area around the extreme outer end of the grille opening. I will rebuild it with new metal and would like to see close-up photos of how the sheet metal in that area fits together and what it should look like when finished. If anyone has close-up photos of this area or has a C/K with its grille molding removed and can take such close-ups, I would really appreciate it.

I do have a decent left fender and can copy it, but am not sure it was put together exactly the same way or that it should look exactly the same when finished. If someone doesn't have and can't take pictures, but you have visual access to the front of both fenders with grille molding removed, and can tell me that the two sides are EXACTLY alike, except mirror image, that would be helpful, too.

    Thanks,
    Pete

Thanks, Dick. That helps, especially the first picture in the link you provided.

That one is really good, as there is nothing in the way of the area I'm trying to see.

That paint is so slick, it looks like it needs a catch can underneath it...........
