My exploded view does not show a front oil seal. And the view shows the front bearing as an open bearing. How does it hold the oil in the case without a seal?

The input shaft has a square-section reverse thread cut in it. Oil that gets past the bearing gets augured to the rear, and runs back down inside. Your engine front seal has a reverse thread, too.

And the normal oil level is well below the bottom edge of the bearing, so the oil return has only to deal with the oil that is slung up by the gears.
