  • Lubing the hood release cable

I was wondering what's the best stuff to lubricate the hood release cable. Should I use light machine oil?

Just use WD-40 when you change the oil.. spray it on the outside of the cable housing and wipe it with a rag..it will seep thu the housing.

Marvel Mystery Oil is also good for lubrication of hood, trunk, and speedometer cables! I have some in a little pump oil can & use it a lot. I believe it lasts longer than WD-40.
