  • Need balancer ring

I'm still assembling my 289 [sending the pistons and rods back to the machine shop to have the pinch bolts replaced] and would like to replace the harmonic balancer [flat metal ring type]. The one I currently have looks as if someone removed/installed it with a sledge hammer. Does anyone have one of these in good shape they'd be willing to part with? Thanks,

I probably do, Darryl. I'll have to have a look-see later today.

Unless you are staying original for the cars sake...ATI also has the capability of making one up for you. While not exactly cheap, if you can't find a good OEM copy, that is another outlet. Several have bought from them, myself included.

Thanks for the replies. Ted e-mailed me and said he might have an extra one. So I'll wait and see if this works out. Again thanks all,

Anyone have the Studebaker V8 crankshaft snout diameter or damper ID readily available?
