Does someone have pics of a custom 2 seat avanti?

Hi all,

I remember seeing a picture of a avanti, that was shortened, and the rear seat elimenated. Does anyone know what I am talking about, and have a picture of it?

I've seen the car here before, but never the interior.
Wow, I'm impressed with the fit and finish or the rear seat area.
First rate work!

Great looking car.
If I had it I'd be tempted to put it on a more modern/sporty chassis to make it handle as good as it looks. Imagine that with 4 wheel disks and upgraded steering.
It puts a Corvette to shame.

As far as the design sketch level, there were many different variations of the Avanti. There are views of many different Avanti body styles shown on the walls of the Palm Beach design studio/house, including the Avanti two seat roadster that I have. These were mostly done by Tom Kellogg of the Loewy design team. Other than what was produced, a two door sedan and a four door sedan came the closest to production (of course a convertible, LSC and four door sedan post Studebaker).

Agree, it looks great and I'll admit I've thought about doing it more than once. That Avanti Evo Coupe is a timeless work of art. The line of the door glass and the back of the door down into the rocker is pure genius, even better than the original.

Not feelin it, looks unbalanced. The extra fiberglass running up the
door edge is the deal killer for me.
