In the September 2006 issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine there is an article about a 16 year old Studebaker collector.

Matthew, you should send in your story to this magazine. They are looking for more young collectors, and it would be great to have two young Studebaker fans published, especially since you both have trucks.

There was a story in Turning Wheels about this young man and his truck last year. Matthew's story, and his family's as well would be a nice one, not only for Turning Wheels, but Hemmings as well. I mean, that's got to be at least three generations of Stude owners there. That's got to have a story in it somewhere.

Hey, how 'bout that! We need to get him on this forum. :D Seems like he and the story of his truck were in TW not too long ago. He is a luckier 16 year old Stude than me, as his truck endured a frame off restoraion; whereas mine is a decent original showing a lot of wear. But, I like it just the same. [8D]
I sent an email to the address on the paper; maybe he'll be interested in a story. [8D]

Actually, I'm a 4th generation Stude owner/driver. ;)

Matt, I was talking about YOU and your family. I mean, what, your grandfather, your parents (?), and you? And from the pictures you've posted, you folks have some nice cars.

I've referred Matthew to the guy that does those features about 2 months ago. I got a reply saying that they'd "investigate" the matter.[}:)]

Matthew, if you see some guys staking your place out and snapping photos of you in your Scotsman, don't be alarmed - just smile real nice.:D

Uh oh. I hope some yankees are not planning to go sneaking around in South Georgia to "investigate" a matter! There could be a misunderstanding. Matthew, you don't have gators as far north as Hazlehurst, do you?
