For the record was this ever a big hit for an accessory for the old Studebakers...

The dealer must have sold quite a few of them. I sold a few of the 1047-52 versions years ago. I think they look kind of neat in the Starlight coupes.

We recently had a doctor join the Central Virginia Chapter who has a 1950 Land Cruiser that his daughter found in Hawaii. He bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to the mainland. It is totally original down to the blinds in the rear window.

I think Leonard may have some pictures of the car.

I sure do![8D]I have seen Starlight coupes with them and they really look neat, but I would think they would have to be specially made for them

I don't have the Studebaker Starlight coupe AC number handy, but the five pieces have tabs that fit right in the window gasket.

As I did not think the thing would look right in a 50 Commander, I think the pic of the Land Crusier changed my mind...I really need to try and find a tail light bezel and head light knob first..

The venetion shades offered by Studebaker were made to fit specific body styles. I saw one four piece set for a 47-52 Starlight at York many years ago. It was pretty bent but intact and the guy wanted $450.[:0] You will take your chances on a generic kit.
