JP very good coverage and both nice looking cars, I know because I own one of each myself, except my 63 is a clone R-1 standard 2 door, with 4 speed and 373 TT rear end, nice nice, thanks Bob

Is that your Hawk JP? It sure looks like it but the only thing that makes me think it is not is that it has a SN92 blower on it (or is that the same car before you got it?)

My gosh, Bob, is that '64 GT of yours just lovely! A '64 GT with the vinyl Sports Roof, in either Bordeaux Red or Jet Green, is my all-time favorite Studebaker, hands down!

It is nice coverage, but I don't know why he pictured a 1962 convertible in the middle of the presentation and I can't imagine a Super Hawk coming with 6.50 tires.

John, What do you think my chances of offering Sid to the Studebaker museum for display?
Having bought this piece of auto history I don't know what to do with it with out getting
it dirty sounds sick but I have never had such a piece,I bought strictly on the bargin price.
Since then it has been stored at work in an HVAC controlled storage area.I have changed the oil
to HAVOLINE DIESEL and ran it up to temp. a few times, thats it.

Very good mostly correct story!
I would love to know where they got this little tid-bit however, wherever that GT Hawk is, I'll TAKE IT! [:p]

Quote: "Motor Sport Illustrated tested an R-2 Gran Turismo Hawk with the four-speed transmission and 3.31 rear gears. Performance was blistering: 0-60 in 6.7, [u]quarter-mile in 14.4</u> and a top speed estimated to be in the vicinity of 150 mph. All for less than $4,000." [^]

With with 4.56 Gears maybe! With 3.31, no way! [:0]
