  • CAR COVERS

Has anyone purchased a car cover for a 53-54 CK? I can't believe that none of the suppliers I have looked into have a cover for my '53.
If anyone has one; with reports (good or bad) let me know where they obtained it. I am sure lots of people like me are having trouble locating covers; and some lucky few have ones they are happy with. THANK YOU.

Be sure to get one that "breathes" such as flannel.

I have "California car covers" for both my GT Hawk and my 63 Daytona convert. No problem getting either one from them. Am very satisfied with their "Noah" cover. www.calcarcover.com It seems they have patterns for just about anything.

Check out Wellington Classics. I think his name is Rick Hawkins, He a member of the SDC and he sells car covers for Studebakers and others. I wanted to buy one from him last fall, that is until our dollar tanked. From what I found he had the best deal on "Covercraft" - NOAH covers that I found.

Thanks Frank, The only Stude listed is an Avanti... but I fired off an email, we'll see. Any body else have any recommended covers?

Have not found any supplier yet that makes a cover for a Stude pick-up... unless you order one custom made (Big $$'s) [:0]

Many years ago I got one from Beverly Hills Motor Accessories. That may now be California Car Cover. It fit my '53 C perfectly.

I have purchased many for different makes and models. California Car cover is the best and they have all fit perfectly. Even on my wagons and cars with fins.

Last year a picked up a generic cover for my Avanti at Sams Club. I was very satisfied with the cover. Unfornately when I stored the car for the winter I left the cover in the trunk and mice chewed it up a bit. I returned to Sams to purchase anothter cover, but they no longer carried the product. I went to their website and purchase what I thought was the same cover. The second cover is ok, but it is not a heavy as the first. Delivered to my door I think the price was about $55.
