In this afternoon's mail, I received Krause Publications Automotive Books catalog for Spring 2009. The front of the catalog shows the front of the book, "Indianapolis Motor Speedway 100 years of Racing" The first thing that caught my eye was a Champ pickup, with a sign on its side, in front of a fire engine on an acess road to the track itself. The pace car pulling into the pit area does not appear to be the 1962 Lark. I can not make out what the pace car is, but that would mean that a Champ pickup was used other than in 1962. The actual cover of the book does not show the Champ. The picture on the catalog cover probably includes the part of the dust cover that wraps around the book's hard cover. The book is $30 and includes 256 pages, 350 b&w photos and 400 color photos (plus S&H, free if you buy more than $40 worth).
