That car in the photo is not a '40 Commander. It is a 1941-42 or 46 Champion coupe body to which someone has added '40 front fenders and running boards. A Very strange combination!

Thanks, Richard. It looked like a Champion body to me, but I didn't say anyting because I have only owned one 1940 Studebaker and don't pretend to know much about the pre-war cars.
