GH hood overlay

mine was in the trunk when I bought the car- my paint guy asked me if there is a gasket between the overlay and the hood.

I told him I didn't think so, but I would check. Can anyone verify for me?

No gasket part No# in parts book. But, I don't see a No# for the metal strips that go under the hood that the overlay fastens to.

They must have showed the metal strip in the parts blow- up- because I knew mine was missing and amde one up. I've never heard of a gasket for this, but my paint guy said VW had a similar setup and used a gasket.
