  • My '64 has a body tag streamer

The body tag says "V-J8" (OK, Daytona Hardtop), but the streamer says "10616". Can't figure that one out. BTW, the streamer is hanging on by a thread!

Only 2,414 Daytona Hardtops were built in '64 (700-some of that total in Hamilton, like mine).

    All are in Australia now

As has been stated before, Hamilton numbered their bodies sequentially, regardless of body style. They were not numbered per body style like South Bend's.

What you are referring to as a streamer is a part of the body tag ID, not a streamer in the usual use of the word (like 4 SPD, sunroof). For Hamilton production, the sequential number was on a separate tag from the body type ID.
