I have a chance to pick up a couple of front fenders and a 3 speed tranny from a 1950 2R truck. I don't need them, but the price is right. Think I should snag them?

Yes. If the front fenders are rust free, they are worth at least a couple of hundred dollars apiece. But the transmission is not worth much unless it has an OD unit attached.

Went an picked up the fenders and tranny today. The fenders are pretty much junk and I'll probably have the tranny forever, but for what I paid for them, It's ok.
What did surprise me was the restoration shop where the parts were. Many BMW's and a few other makes, but 2 Stude pick ups and what looked like a 63 Lark type hardtop. I thought that was pretty cool.
