  • Pertronics Coil

I want to purchase a Pertronics Coil for my 62 Hawk. I will probably convert to a Pertronics Distributor later, but for right now, I'm in the middle of diognosing some possible electrical problems. I think my old coil or the resistor wire is shot.

If I purchase a Petronics Flame Thrower Coil, do I want 1.5 or 3.0 ohms coil and do I need a ballast resistor for this model or is the coil an internal resistor type and no resistor is necessary??

When you purchase one from a Studebaker Vendor it's easy...they sell you the correct one to fit your car! [:0]
