  • 1966 V-8 headers?

I want to put a larger small block motor in my 1966 Cruiser with a 283. LT1 comes to mind. It has the ram horn exhaust manifolds. Has anyone found a set of headers that will fit the Cruiser and clear the power steering? Everything else will bolt in.
    Thanks,
    Chuck

I posted up my LT1 for sale, but for some reason I am thinking you
    mean an LT-1 not an LT1. The LT-1 is a 70s motor, the LT1 is a 90s
    motor - different animals.

The LT-1 should be a bolt in, headers will be the same problem with
either it, or your 283, dimensionally they are the same. The LT1 is
a different story, it has spanish arch shaped exhaust ports, which
require manifolds MADE for an LT1.

Once we clarify which engine you want, I'm sure others can help too.
