Is the 66 a current project? I never wanted a 65 or 66, solely because they're Chevy-powered. Doesn't make much sense, since ironically I know little about Studes but know Chevies inside out[:I]

I don't know what it is about "Chevybakers" myself. I guess I'm just a snob.
We bought this car for any number of reasons. #1- Wife-unit wants another wagon. #2- this was a rust-free (and I do mean rust-free) solid California V8 car with nice options. #3- It was CHEAP (thanks Bob).
I was sure I would just install a Stude engine and maybe a '63 Front clip... but as I've owned the car and considered it... I'm going to leave it as it should be.
The main reason is- How many '66 Wagons are there out there?

We will build this one as a daily-driver.. It will have a 350 V8, 200R4 Transmission... I'm still debating whether to do a fuelie with a computer or just an aluminum intake and Edelbrock 4BBL. Would the difference in mileage etc be worth the extra expense?
It will DEFINATELY have Merkur Scorpio front seats! These are by far the best "traveling" seats I have ever experienced. The interior will be entirely custom, but in original patterns (probably use '59 Lark 4-door Stainless)

Consider an LTI and a 4L60E out of a newer car. Easy to set up, great mileage, power, and durability; basically a set-it-and-forget-it drivetrain! Tom (sbca96) knows a ton about these; you might write him about it.

MAN, would that ever be a sweet setup for a Wagonaire........[

A friend just brought me a '63 Wagonaire parts-car with a seriously rusted body.. BUT... It still has all the clutch-stuff from it's V8 3/OD... It's got me thinking 5-speed!
