  • Instrument Cluster Restoration

I'm working on the instrument cluster as a small project. I know I can get a new NOS speedo and chrome surround. I haven't had the opportunity to check on the guage cluster yet, but I'm hoping to get an assembly as NOS as well. I know the mounting panel is no longer available. Has anyone had good success with redoing this piece, or is this something I'd have to send out to have plated first?

I would thing that the inset areas done in black can be repainted, but was this flat black or a semi-gloss?

I sell NOS bezels for all 3 gages, $10 each, plus UPS. I thought SASCO had a bunch of the surrounds.

That's good, because I've found I'll have to rehab the guage cluster and tach. Everyone has the speedo. The mount plate is the big concern. Has anyone tackled one of these? I'd rather know what works and what doesn't if someone has already gone thru this.
