  • My Barn find , really it was in a shed

As we were traveleing in the direction of Steinkamp country, or west on 90, I always watch the side roads and such for old cars , especially studes. We noticed a nice looking 51 fastback chevy out in someones lot near Cle Elum found the next exit , and searched out that spot and sure enough found the car owner, happens that was my first car ever , That model , after a failed attempt to convince the guy I should own it we were sent on our way , as we left I asked where were the studes in town ,His reply was , well there is the one over on the other side of town , its one of those real rare real special ones and the guy wants a lot for it,Had to go find it , and that we did , The guys name was Ron , Yes I have one I store for a freind, gonna sell it when all the snow melts, had it 25 years , never drives it , its over in that shed, points over to a car cover, we head over expecting some rusted out old stude and were happily surprised to say the least. Under the cover was a58 Goldenhawk. All there and in pretty decent shape, just goes to show , they are everywhere, just gotta keep looking

    Nice find, Alan!

Hey, if you guys were west of Cle Elum and didn't detour to Bellingham, you're on "the list". [^]

You took it out in the snow![:0]

Or, is that the famous white sands of Davenport?[)]

Great find! A car like that should answer its calling, not sit for 25 years.

Cle Elum is an interesting place. While you were there did you happen to see the Champ pickup owned by the town Police?
Another couple of miles down the road, did you happen to visit
Easton, birthplace and home town of Sherwood Egbert?
