Hard as I'm sure it was to see it go, that was a good thing you did, Gary. My hat's off to you for helping to preserve this special vehicle.

I am surprised that the Museum didn't just send out their own new truck and enclosed trailer to pick it up. I know that sometimes it is cheaper to go commercial, but I can't imagine that in this case. The Museum got the money for the new truck based on the need to utilize it for trips like this, not to run around town.

(I know this is off-topic, but here goes)
Nobles are sort-of kit cars. You can buy one outside the USA from a Noble dealer, but here you have to buy the body/chassis and the engine separately and either have them put together or get it from these guys http://www.1gracing.com/ THe engines are the 3.5 liter, 24-valve Taurus engines with 2 turbos. I'm kind of a geek about cars like this, along with Ariel Atoms, Lotus Elises, etc. Not that I could afford one or anything...
(On-topic part starts here) If I kept a Lark (or any Stude really) like you did, I'd have a really hard time letting go of it when the time came.

Yes, I had registered the engine at www.356a.com in 2004, updated the info tonight, thanks for the reminder. I've never had any inquiries from a link to that site.
