How difficult is it to put a 61-64 GT Hawk dash in a 53 Commander?
Any special parts needed? Or, as Ive been told its " a bolt in job"

There may be some issues with switches for the wiper and/or heater blowers requiring some creativity. It should physically bolt in fine however.

Guys Im sure glad to hear it is a " bolt in " job
I have a new EZ Wire harness to install along with some new gauges.
I also plan to try my hand at " engine turning " some aluminum inserts to use in place of the wood grain.
I just wanted to make sure the Hawk dash would fit in the 53' coupe
without a lot of cutting, trimming etc.

Yeah - it's been done many times already![^] You should be able to swap sedan dashes around from late 55 (wraparound windshield intro) thru the '60 Larks as well - without too hassle.[:0]
