The seller claims it is a R-2, but there is an air cleaner on it now. The asking price is $1500, someone may get a deal on the power train.

Worth the money if it has the r2 setup in there somewhere, and the right engine. Worth looking into if somebody's not too far away.

Check to see if some interior parts might be worth saving....the steering wheel and any hardware.
Also, check the body number (big tag on passenger side of engine bay).

If you're not a member, I'd recommend joining the SDC and AOAI...the ads alone will be worth it if you're going to buy parts.
Or even if you're going to part it out, its a good place to advertise parts.

I know the guy who was selling this car and we had notes flying back and forth all day. I told him it looked like an R1 and explained the difference between and R1 and an R2. He checked with the guy he was working with to sell it and said the supercharger was there but it had been removed and was in the trunk.
I understand the story is a tree fell on the car, and from the looks of it I believe it.
