  • I love this Studebaker ad item

I found it's for sale, but $60 is a bit to pay. It's cute, though!

That is cute but someone will probably just HAVE to have it and it will sell.

        Scott,
This is an interesting item, and I'm glad you posted it. I enjoyed looking at it.

        But, I've got to ask...

What's the difference between posting this and someone else posting a similar type of item that is for sale on eBay?

They look the same to me but I may have missed the real reasons you dislike posts of eBay Studebaker items for sale.

I already have one, but I didn't know it was worth $60.00

On "Antiques Road Show" if the backprint was in good shape $200 and, if it was in its original envelope...the sky's the limit.

                    Hi Dick,

Your comment is off topic. The difference is that every day it's eBay, eBay, eBay. I like posting things from other sources, since eBay is not the be-all and end-all of internet commercialism.

But an ad is an ad whether it be on e-bay, craigslist or the site that you reference so I do not think you can discriminate by source. It just so happens that e-bay has garnered more market share than the others so should that fact alone disqualify anyone from discussing items on the forum that are listed there? By its very nature it is going to get the largest number and most divergent types meaning more opportunities for someone to post. While Yahoo also has an auction format, I have never seen a Studebaker vehicle listed there in my visits, mostly just old advertising paper.

There is another interesting item on this web site. It is a 33 Studebaker brochure. It is in rather poor condition and they want $50.00 for it. They are calling it a 33 Packard brochure. I don't know why, it doesn't say Packard on it anywhere. I bought the same brochure at Hershey several years ago for $90.00, but mine is in much better condition. I just love the artwork! Here is the URL:
