whats it like turning corners on those pro street tires? I know it's noise'y with the aluminum interior. But wouldn't you hear more of tires / or is harder to turn or something? If you didn't have the noisy mufflers, the ride ?

Everything goes rattle bang bang, and the rain grooves in the highway can be a lane changing experience. Turning isnt to bad but you have to be carful they like to push if overcooked into a corner. Road noise is attrocious and it will tend to leak in all the hard to reach places when driving in the wet.

You've picked out some of the lesser issues of noise. The true pro street cars with huge-meats and a four-link on the rear, littles/MII front suspension, are just cruise, park and pose cars. They don't drive or handle in any sense. Don't even think about fast cornering. And the tickets from obstructed vision - one guy drove up from Oregon to the GoodGuys in Spokane. The State Troopers cited him for driving with obstructed vision - the GMC 6-71 and 2x4bbls really did fill the windshield to the point he couldn't see to turn right. They wouldn't let him move it. He had to hire a roll-back to take it back to OR.

I've heard some real horror stories with the people that use the drag radials on those things. The drag radials from what I'm told literally have grooves cut into the tire to make them DOT approved(if they didn't they were deemed a slick). It wasn't the noise as much as the handling when it got wet. It seemed they were for those who were the most diehard of souls for daily driving. [:O]
