My son just acquired a 57 Silver Hawk to restore-and it needs a LOT !!
Attached is a photo from the Ebay ad showing a pretty ugly floor shifter.
I thought all manual tranny Hawks had steering column shifters.
Is this origina l??
Thanks

DICK, I think it was at the national meet in Orlando (1984?)a vendor had a couple of stick shift overdrive transmissions. I over heard a couple of "oldtimers" talking about them being out of Taxi's. I don't think I have seen another. Is this an overdrive?

Thanks for the info/comments. We have been told it has overdrive. Plan is to
pick it up on the 12th.
ANYONE have a rear window that fits this Hawk ?? It has none. Found a couple of sources but like $500 new and too much for a retired guy's budget .

Hi,

I've got a rear window, but packing for shipping is prohibitive. Where are you located?

Packard V8,

Please send me an Email with your location and details on the
rear window. Bams50 correctly identified my location-thanks Bams.
Email is <rcurtis105@cox.net>
Maybe we can work out a way to get it to Santa Barbara.

Thank You Anne.
Please let me know when the status of the rear window is known.
Fresno is not that far and maybe some one will be headed
my way in the next few months. This restoration is going to take
'some time.
