  • What will you be Driving?

As for me, it's looking like I'll be driving an unrestored '58 Commander. How about you? [8D]

The Allegheny Region Chapter SDC will be driving in the Fourth of July Parade in Canonsburg, PA. We have been doing this for years. It is a huge parade, and has made the national news because of the tradition of folks setting their lawn chairs at the curb a week in advance for the parade.

Last year I drove my '62 Lark VI. It's a perfect parade car because it never overheats, is a good "20 footer" with it's original paint, is an automatic and loafs along on the idle speed for most of the parade.

He's not visible in this pic, but my passenger was Elmo of the Muppets, and all along the parade route kids were shouting, "Elmo!" "Elmo!" So of course I had to wave his hand to them.
