Stainless steel 49-64 truck bed (Stude dreaming)

While looking at photos from an auto show I saw a car that looked like it had a couple of stainless body parts on it. I thought that it sure might look cool to do the outer bed skin in very light gauge stainless. Or possibly either the top or bottom part of the bed where the deluxe truck is usually two toned. Then paint the rear fenders a contrasting color. Ideas

You may be on to something. I wouldn't have the skills to attempt
it, but would like to see what it looked like when done.

There is no big shortage of rusty beat up stude truck beds. (some with bullet holes) How about using the bed core and mounting it on a late model truck. Sell the late model bed to return some of the money. This might be one alternative to getting some more youth into the club. I have seen good and bad examples of New/old mergers. It would be nice to see and excellent smooth looking example of a (custom) truck.
