    Is this the Champion six?

Looks like a real nice truck, but the shipping will be brutal.

Bob - I think we had a discussion about this truck before (maybe it was on the Truck Forum)... I am of the opinion that this is a '59 Deluxe Scotsman based upon a number of factors - no door visors, fixed taillights, no door chrome, etc.

Given that the seller lists the serial as E13861, that says to me it is an E1 model which would be a Scotsman with a Champion (170 ci) engine. Assuming of course, that it still has "original" equipment!

Yep, that's a Champion 6. Looks to have a 4 speed trans as well. Don't get in any hurry.

The four speed is slower then the 3 OD then?

Would the rear end gearing be different for the four speed?

Would it be 170 or 185 in this truck?

Probably lower (higher numerically) although with compound Low you should not need it, could be the thinking was with a H.D. Trans. it would be a hauler, not a cruiser.

The good book does say that the 4E1 was only available with a 4.27 or a 4.55 in either Std. or TT axle.
you need to check the tag on the cover.

The 185 was discontinued in 1958, it SHOULD be a 170.
