  • Central & Greater Virginia Chapters

The Central Virginia Chapter and the Greater Virginia Chapter are going to tour down the scenic Rt. 5 to Berkeley Plantation, where President William Henry Harrison was born.

We had a meet there years ago. This is my son there at the meet. He is now 30 years old! My turquoise 62 Lark convertible is on the right side.

I went to Cracker Barrel restaurant to let them know that we will be eating there on July 4th for the "Drive Your Studebaker Day".

A young woman, who was the manager, asked me how many people and what club would come. I told her that is was the Studebaker Drivers Club.

    She said:

"My dad has an Avanti, I am so excited! Will your club members bring their cars?"

I was surprised. Most young people at restaurants, haven't heard of Studebakers. I asked her where her dad lived, and she said he lives in Asheville, NC, so I guess he won't come.
