Well folks today makes it three years since I acquired my first Studebaker.

At the time I was 19 and in college; home on thanksgiving break. Over turkey dinner and pumpkin pie I managed to convince one of my distant relitives to give me the old 50 champion up on the old place. One of my first posts was to the then busy NG:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.autos.studebaker/browse_frm/thread/256ffabc9dbaa532?tvc=1&q=50+champion+tractor&hl=en

A couple weeks later on Christmas break I managed to haul it home and posted this on the NG:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.autos.studebaker/browse_frm/thread/6bbadba14d4776f4?tvc=1&q=50+champion+ford+tractor&hl=en

Its amazing how a rough parts car warmed my blood, just re-reading those two posts reminds me of the excitement. See the pictures below.

Well its been 3 years later, 16 other studebakers, 1 packard, 27 college credits, 2 girlfriends, one staph infection, many OT rants, and one burnt lark later and I'm still here on the net enjoying studes.

I really miss my old lawn-orniment 50, but it went to stude heaven and donated it's drivetrain to a 47 champion so it could be fixed; which ironically is now owned by one of my relitives.

I just bought a 56 hawk, so the excitement goes on. Thanks guys for putting up with me and always lending advice!

Kent, I must confess myself disapointed. You didn't list Sweetie ('62 four door six) in your cars! She'll make one expensive parts car! (LOL):D;)
