  • 1953-64 NOS cowl moulding i.d needed

I intend to place this NOS right side cowl moulding on Ebay. I believe it is correct for the '53-'64 coupes, hardtops and the Hawk series but it has no part number. It does have a casting number of 898. Can anyone confirm whether this is for the coupe and hardtop or the sedans? Thanks.

It looks like C/K to me. The sedan has a thicker width along the top edge. Jeff

I took a look at a couple of non-NOS ones I have and they have X0 898 RH on the backs. The other side has XO 899 LH on them.

They are definately C/K parts, IMO. I agree with Studefan that the sedan ones are thicker, although I don't have any to compare to, just from what I remember.

Great, thanks guys. I was pretty sure it was but do not wish to mislead any one.

The 1955 C's used stainless, not pot metal.
Maybe some other year C's did too, I'm not
sure without spending some time in the books.
Just off hand, I would think 1956 might have
          a similar split.

I have an unresearched opinion that all of the
K's used pot metal. I know many of the C's also
          used pot metal.
