View Full Version : Looking for a Missouri Studebaker

12-27-2008, 08:43 PM
I was contacted by a gentleman wishing to purchase a
'53 Studebaker Coupe to build a salt flat racer.
He is looking for a fairly clean roller
(arent we all)so it doesnt need bumpers, engine, trans, etc.
We discussed my car and agreed that mine was too complete
and deserves restoration rather than race.Anyone that way
know of a '53 closer to him? From what he told me he is
120 miles from Indianapolis and 100 miles from St Louis.
Last note.He is 73 years old and plans to run a early Hemi
with a 6-71 blower on it.Ex-Silver Crown midget racer with
serious need for speed!
Post here or drop me a email.

This 53 chopped salt flats racer was on ebay in November and December - and was not sold.

The seller could likely be found and contacted via ebay. It is in Texas
