Curious about the rear fenders on the pre lark pick ups (sorry I don't know the designations) roughly 49 to 58. Are they identical? Interchangeable? Available? Ball park price?

They're the same piece 49 thru 59 and beyond. They're available in fibreglass now too.[^]

They are not READILY available, at least in pristine condition. They do show up at Reedsville, York, and the intl meets, but are usually several hundred dollars apiece. Ratty ones are easier to find and are correspondingly cheaper. Whole parts trucks come up on ebay pretty frequently.
