Starter interchange?

Just need to know if a starter from a manual trans 59 or 62 Lark six will work on a 62 champ truck with ohv engine....

I think it will but just want to make sure before I take one off and take it down to the shop to rebuild it for a good friend.

Don't they mount on opposite sides of the engine? Not sure if it's the same with the nose flipped over or not. Hopefully someone that knows will chime in.

I'm not sure about interchanging, but Nate's right. The starter is on the opposite side on trucks. The nose cone could very well be different, but you can swap that. If you have another starter from the car, you could compare the bolt measurements and the size of the shaft thing that spins to motor. If that's the same, it should all work OK.
