  • 1936 Dream-Stude coupe

There is a car on e-bay that has been on my wish-list for years.
I eventually got tired of searching and bought a some other nicely shaped Studes(from 1953), but if I had found a thirties Stude coupe like this earlier I would have bought it AT ONCE[]

And right now I don't have the opportunity to buy such a fine piece of project... Is that what they call "irony"?

Perhaps some of you other guys are interested?

An absolutely gorgeous body style (there was a silver '37 Prez at Lancaster that I was drooling on - quite possibly the nicest-shaped prewar Stude, period) but a lot of scratch for a project car...

still and all, if I *had* the money, I'd be tempted.

I spoke with him last year when I sold my "rodded" 36 Coupe to a guy In NY

I think that he was trying to get around 17k for his coupe then ...(foggy memory)
wasn't sure he wanted to sell it back then and was asking me if there was a market for 36's and if I had gotten any buyers for my '36.

it is a good buy at that price.... just not sure what his reserve is

I had 5 buyers for mine -- all with back up offers if the first guy flaked
I did not list mine on ebay -- I just ran an "print" ad in Old Car Weekly ,, phone rang off the hook ...[8D]

'36-'37 coupes are VERY hot ... even in this confused market ..

if you have the cash I'd park it in this car in a heart beat,
no matter which way the Dow goes ..,. (and I don't get a commission on this rig)

I've seen this car in person about 2 months ago.
I purchased a stop light from this gentleman and went to his home.
The car is in very nice condition, but it is all in pieces.
It looked very solid and he did have a complete set of artilery wheels for it.
He recently purchased a set of taillights from me for the car.
It is in Milwaukee, very close to the airport.
