  • Do they even think they will get ONE bid?

I dunno...the price seems a bit steep for me...especially considering the lack of...umm...everything.

Unless there is something of value in that motor...still...

      It's a jewel beyond price.

It's a 2R16A, so that would be the 245 engine, and he says the engine is not stuck.

I'd say it would be worth about $200 for parts. Now you might eventually get more than $200 out of it if you assiduously marketed every usable part on eBay, but you'd have to count as costs the (non-trivial) expense of fetching, storing, and dismembering it.

I'd give $200 for it, if I could drive there with my trailer, load it, return, and off-load in a single day. But I'm nowhere near close enough.

I'm in Minnesota and Mapquest says it's 5 1/2 hours away.
Too far for a engine for me as well.

I think it needs a little work.

Is that a battery hold down that I see in the lower right picture?

Ha, that's FUNNY! We probably could ask bams50 about this old used car lot trick! [:0]

It appears to have all the rubber and rusty cast iron on the Engine sprayed with something like WD40 or Silicone spray! [:0]

Maybe he should cal BR549 ask for Junior Sample and maybe he will come and haul it away after the guy pays him $49.95. [)][}]

I noticed that myself! I guess he thinks that the shine will blind people to the rest of the missing parts![8D]
