  • Be proud, show me your carb

Does anyone have good pics of a clean, factory looking Carter WCFB.
Is it difficult to dress one up, to nice and original? Suggestions?

    Thx

Here's one of mine (AFB) before I started tearing down to detail the engine compartment. Pretty dirty right now, but we're about to fix that.

I have a lot more, if you want.

Isn't that an AFB on the Avanti?
Radsman wants to see a WCFB.

Please excuse my ignorance but what does each of these abbreviations stand for?

In terms of the WCFB, what would be the differences between: 2214S, SA, SB, 2219S, SA, SB, 2330S, SB, 2394S, 2574S, 2575S . I assume the GM one's similar, but slightly different?

I've heard a WCFB is also known as "Will Carter Four Barrel".

when the AFB came out the competition was pretty weak, so many claimed AFB stood for "Allfull F-n Big".

Several pages of pics of the engine bay as I was removing parts for detailing down to the engine block. Many show carb, linkages, etc.

This isn't "show-car" clean. But I picked this up a while back from Bob Johnstone for my '55. He had pulled it out of active service in his '55 just as it looks now.

The pic's are kind of big, so I'm going to just post the links.
