Should the intake manifold be GLOSS black as shown?

The entire Engine, Intake, Pan, Heads all of it, less accessories SHOULD be Satin Black (Simi Gloss), people have gotten away with gloss in some judging. [:0]

Just for the record there's a difference between 'Satin Black' and 'Semi-gloss Black'. Semi-gloss black is shinier and satin has a more dull finish, depending on paint brand.

No big deal after curing and baking from use you will never see the difference! Simi-Gloss is perfect IF you can find it in High Temperature 500-600 degree Engine Enamel, Satin will work, but may not be found in the right type of paint. All you need is NOT blinding, shiny, Gloss that shows every flaw on the cast parts!

Yeah, whatever works. I found out the hard way on satin vs semi-gloss. I touch-up painted some spots on my firewall that were semi-glossed but used satin, thought they were the same. Now, one of these days, I have to pull a bunch of stuff out like the engine to properly repaint the glorious mess I made....

So I need to paint my Avanti block...

ANY [u]engine-grade </u> semi-gloss will do...or is ther as special Stude color?
