Lark is gone

Yesterday my '60 Lark began her journey to Iceland! When I saw she'd be the last car of three on a open flatbed,I wanted to tell the driver "forget it"!! She goes to Norfolk Va,then onto a ship.

There's a large and active group of car enthusiasts in Iceland. A bunch of them make an annual trek down to the USA and they take in the larger car shows and museums. I ran into them at the Daytona Turkey Run car show ( BTW.. The Turkey Rod Run is this Thursday/Sunday at DTB)...
They signed my truck (along with a few others[:0])

I have sold a couple of 2 ton trucks to a fellow in Eastern Virginia. One day he mentioned that he had a buddy in Sweeden who was looking for a classic '50's pickup for yard art. I responded that I had a '51 2R5 pickup that wasn't much, but it turns out it was perfect for him. I think I got $150 for it and it was also sent out in a container from Norfolk.

Jeff,cool! I wonder if one of them is my buyer? ..Matt,heater works good down to 25 or so,had to drive it twice last winter on cold snowy days-I don't think their climate is a lot colder than mine,here in Illinois..
BTW,this was a zero feedback buyer,paid in full by wire transfer,and a great guy to deal with!!
