Don't forget Blake, circa 1984, had a racer program...with input by Gale Banks (IIRC).

But I don't recall if it was for NASCAR or GT-style road racing.

Road racing. NASCAR always found ways to exclude expensive cars. Above all else, Bill France was a master promoter and his paying public consisted of people who were never going to be able to afford anything above a Ford, Chevy, Plymouth or Dodge.
