Looks good. Too bad it's way down in Florida. Check out the surf boards: do they surf in Florida?

It says it's a 289. Would that be original or would it have been a 259?

I saw that, and it impressed me as an honest car- I bet it does top money based on that; maybe $4K plus!

It could be a 289; probably a 259 though; easy to determine with a quick check by the seller.

And yes, they do surf in FL; that's the only place I ever have!:D

It's not the original engine. It's a partial flow, which ended in mid '62.

That's one nice Wagonaire...love the color and interior.

My '63 Daytona Wagonaire was equipped with a 289, and I understand any model could be so ordered. I'm curious about that engine, though, as it has 4-bolt valve covers (earlier year?), unlike the 2-bolt ones for that year (usually painted yellow) that have been on every '62-'63 stock V-8 I've ever owned or seen.

Still, it looks like a fantastic example of a supremely fun driver...

Engine is probably from the late 50's with a 63 water manifold. Notice the coil mounted on the firewall instead of the rear of the intake manifold & what looks like a WCFB carb & aftermarket air cleaner. The transmision dipstick would indicate a 61 or newer trans, but I would be concerned if whoever put the engine in, knew or bothered to dial in the bell housing. On the plus side it does have a real nice interior.

By the way, those aren't surfboards, they are water skis. Surfboards dont have those cups for your feet. (that would make paddling out pretty interesting!)

Oops! Good eye Warren.

I only glanced quickly at the boards sticking out of the back window. At first I thought they were pieces of lumber but then I saw a fin so, being from the west coast, I thought surf board.

The colour is exactly like my first Studebaker, a 63 Lark VI 4 dr. Since then I have always been partial to Larks of this colour.

It is a Wagonaire with Georgia paperwork that is now in Miami, FL and is being sold by a US registered eBay'r. I wonder why it is listed on eBay Canada.
A 289 was optional for that Wagonaire, but not that particular engine which is earlier (as pointed out above). My 1963 Daytona Wagonaire was equipped with a 289. This Wagonaire is not a Daytona, but could have come with a 289.

Nice looking Wagonaire especially the Interior, it looks like NOS door panel replacements, for sure reupholstered seats, pre 1960 replaced Engine, Rochester Carburetor, 1957 Radiator and replaced front fenders, I wonder if they are Fiberglass! [:0]

Edit: Wait a minute...is that a 1964 Fairlane and Mustang V 289 Emblem I see on the right side of the grille? It even looks tall enough to be a "High Performance" 289 Emblem! Ahhah! That's why he thinks it is a 289! It probably IS! [:0]

Gary,

Since I'm in Canada, ebay.ca is just the domain through which I access ebay.com . It's all the same cars.
