  • Studebakers in the clutch

So isn't there more effort in letting out the clutch, with that noisy banging agaisn't thefloorboard from the set-up under the floor? Isn't a camaro clutch release effort alot easier? "wondering out loud"

    Had a 50 packard once.

    Remember...
GM's ball pivot design is entirely for mass production, and production assembly line ease.
Effort, and longevity are way, way down on GM's priority list.

Actually if it bothers you that much, you could call a Studebaker Vendor and buy the pads that are missing from your Vehicle whatever it is, and problem solved, no more water spray, engine noise or pedal banging! [:0]

These through the floor pedals are far superior in leverage, longevity, strength and safety to any suspended pedal system. [^]

And all cars prior to 1955 on GM and about 1952 or '54 on Ford, used them with no problem if I remember right! [^]
