I am trying to crank my 59 Hawk after rebuild.
Car cranks but I can't get the timing right.
With #1 wire on one distributer plug I can't advance the timing enough (distributer hits interference). If I move the #1 wire to the next distributer plug, I can't retard enough before distributer hits interference.
Can I change this perfectly wrong relationship by lifting the distributer and moving the gear a tooth or two?
Or is something else wrong?
