Kind of sad to see this. But my brother's Starfire convertible doesn't look any better.

Claude, is it gone for good???? I will take the belt mouldings, all stainless and both front door vent frames.. as well as the window frames if they are still there. Any idea of where the salvage yard might be? Email a phone number if possible, please.

Yeah - those upper beltline mouldings, the continuation piece that goes around and under the rear window, the rear quarter stainless, the door stainless - that stuff's NLA for the most part! Lots shared with 60-61 ragtops too. Shame to see that go to China.:(

Might also want to make sure that rear isn't a TT.

In Ohio, Claude. I got to them in time before it was scrapped. I guess the frame cracked in half when they picked it up! They weren't too thrilled to take parts off of it for a CASO, but I told them how to do it as quickly as possible..heh heh, rusty screws and all, so we will see. It's probably pitted stuff, but better than nothing. I need the stainless stuff and belt mouldings for spares and extra parts. The shipping may be the worst expense. Are you close to them, Claude? They said you got the engine, if that was you whom snagged it. Thanks again..:D[^]

The yard is 8 miles from me. The right quarter trim is excellent. The rear window stainless is excellent. The belt line, I guess that's the pot metal pieces by the rear window have minor pitting.

I asked about that rear 2 door trim and they thought it was smashed from the tow. That's a hard one to ship, may be an item to throw on for a trip through here...like on a trip to Reedsville, wink wink. I can meet them by the Ohio Turnpike service station in Shalersville. :D The belt moulding goes from the vent windows on the front doors to the rear stainless under the rear window above the deck lid. Four pieces. I'm hoping they have patience to remove them safely. That stuff is brittle.
