have a tailgate handle in great shape that I want to install on my wagon and need to remove the lock mech that has no key. I see where the wire goes in to release it but with out the key I don't know how to get it out. Any suggestions, A hammer and punch is my last resort. Do you think a locksmith can get it out for less then a million dollars, I am joking of course but the last time I went to a locksmith to get something re-keyed I could have replaced it cheaper. I have a locksmith that I use for all my Stude locks in Torrance. The most he has charged me for anything has been $20.00, so rather than possibly do damage, leave it to one that knows what they are doing. Much cheaper in the long run.
