View Full Version : Studebaker pics in Vanity Fair

The November 2008 issue of "Vanity Fair" magazine has an article about how Jackie Kennedy became fascinated by the painting of the Mona Lisa and brought it to New York in December, 1962. One of the photos that is part of the article shows 4 Studebaker taxis of 1960-63 vintage in line at Pier 88 in NY, plus an additional Lark parked nearby. The printed magazine has the photo shown on a 2-page spread at the beginning of the article. I'd love to have a good digital copy.

I had not realized how common Studebaker taxis might have been in those years.

Pisture from Omaha. Looks like one '63 and three '64s.

Guessing it's a '63 by the windshield post.
