Truck Identification Help

I am considering going to look at a truck and the owner sent me the following information from the truck ID plate. Can anyone help me decipher this? I am trying to figure out if this is a 1/2 ton truck etc. etc.

The information is as follows:

Model 2 R C 2 Cab # 223731 R5 I02792 Custom Studebaker Sportsman

First of all Steve welcome to the wild wonderful world of Studedom. It'd always a blast. The truck you are looking at is a 1/2 ton

Dont know where the Custom Sportsman came from???
Maybe a decal or script from a Dodge truck???
Like avantidon says its a 2R 1/2 ton truck.
Btw, the I in the serial number is what Studebaker used as the number "1"
