Apparently it's an original:

Egad.... This is going to be interesting. I'm sure I have a copy of that, purchased from SAE a number of years ago. It looks exactly like that one.
I thought once they had the SAE seal on them, they were copyrighted.

This business is one of the biggest literature dealers in the world; I wonder how much he knows about the thing?

bob, while he is extremely large he knows little about many of the documents he has and that he sells. he buys pieces all over the world and I have spoken to him personally in hershey in past years and all he knows generally is that he has it. While he is a nice guy and easy to deal with he knows little. Of course this is just my own opinion.

Amazingly, he's right here- in my hometown- and I've never met him, or been to his place of business. I have bought from him, but just through eBay.

Pretty weird.[:I]

I spent an evening with Mr. Miller. We sat next to each other at an auction of primarily automotive books. The books were from the estate of a person that reviewed books. Mr. Miller came in a Porsche 928. He had the car crammed with books when he left. It is amazing how much you can get into a hatchback. I didn't buy any, even though I bid on many lots. The problem was that the books were grouped into lots. There may have been only one or two books in a lot that interested me. For Mr. Miller, all of the books in the lot were just new stock.

I'm not a member of SAE anymore, but I bought a copy of this paper from sae.org a couple months ago for $22.35 including shipping.
